In cartoons and fairy tales, lots of animals and birds are portrayed as intelligent and friendly, often demonstrating some human qualities.

Meanwhile, real life is often far from cartoons – so these animals might not be as friendly as you might expect them to be.

Here are a few examples of animals you should probably stay away from.

Wild monkeys

Monkeys in the wild might seem cute and playful, but they can become aggressive if they feel threatened or if humans invade their territory.

It's important to keep a safe distance and avoid feeding them.

Geese

Geese can be quite territorial and protective, especially during their nesting season.

They may hiss, flap their wings, or even bite if they feel their space is being invaded.

It's best to give them their space and avoid approaching them.

Swans

Swans are known for their beauty, but they can also be aggressive when they feel threatened.

They have strong beaks and can attack by pecking or striking with their wings.

It's better to admire them from a distance.

Wild dolphins

While dolphins are often portrayed as friendly and playful, wild dolphins can exhibit aggressive behavior, especially if they feel provoked or if humans approach too closely.

It's important to respect their space and observe them from a safe distance.

Bison

These large mammals may seem slow and docile, but they can be unpredictable and easily agitated.

If they feel threatened, they can charge at high speeds, causing serious harm.

It's crucial to keep a safe distance and not approach them.
