However, a smartphone can take up a lot of your time and be addictive. For example, a person cannot fall asleep without checking messages before going to bed.

A clear sign is the lack of hobbies and a lot of screen time per day.

You can take away hours of screen time if you use the gadget for work.

Because of this, you can easily lose touch with reality, communicate less with friends and loved ones.

In addition, long screen time negatively affects health: both physical and mental.

That is why many people who use smartphones for a long time and often complain of frequent headaches, dizziness, nausea, weakness, fatigue, impaired memory and attention - the so-called asthenopic complaints.

How to reduce your screen time

Some phones allow you to limit screen time right in the settings. So, on the iPhone, you need to go to "Screen Time" in the settings, and then click on "App Limits" and set a limit on the time you use each application and the entire gadget as a whole.

Just set aside time during the day when you can be distracted, and then it will not feel like your time has been invaded.

For example, set aside a specific hour for social media. Turn off notifications and calls that switch attention and tell you what to do.
