Recipe: Classic Coffee Raf

The main feature of the raf is that it needs to be whipped.

To prepare a traditional drink, you will need a coffee machine.

Washed or natural processed medium roasted coffee beans will do.

You will also need vanilla sugar or powdered sugar and cream.

We place ground coffee in the holder and ram with the help of tempera.

How to cook

  1. We are preparing a double espresso, the output should be approximately 1 ounce of coffee.
  2. Pour 3 ounces of chilled 10% fat cream into a pitcher.
  3. Add freshly brewed coffee and a spoonful of vanilla sugar there.
  4. Beat everything with a steamer until the pitcher heats up and thick foam.
  5. Pour the finished drink into a 10-ounce bowl.
  6. Before serving, it is recommended to warm the cup.

If there is no coffee machine at home, use the method convenient for you to prepare. For example, brew coffee in a Turk or pour boiling water from a kettle.

Instead of a steamer, you can use a blender or cappuccinatore. The effect will not be the same as from a coffee machine, but you will still be able to achieve foamy raf.

To do this, heat the cream, add fresh warm or hot coffee, sugar and vanilla to it and beat until thick foam. As a rule, 2-3 minutes is enough.
