If you want to diversify your diet, choose orzo pasta. The product goes well with meat, fish, vegetables, legumes, and cheeses.

The preparation time for a full meal will take no more than 30 minutes.

Why You Should Add Orzo Pasta to Your Diet

Contrary to popular belief, pasta promotes weight loss, not weight gain, as it contains complex carbohydrates. Thanks to their moderate use, a person feels full for a long time and does not snack. It is allowed to add pasta to the diet 1-2 times a week.

In addition, the paste contains a large number of useful substances:

  • proteins;
  • fats;
  • fiber;
  • B vitamins;
  • iron;
  • magnesium;
  • phosphorus;
  • potassium.

Such a composition regulates the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, positively affects the appearance of the skin, removes harmful substances from the body, speeds up metabolism, and normalizes the nervous system.

Cooking time is 16-20 minutes, which is longer than regular pasta. This is due to the fact that the product has a shape similar to rice cereal.

Pasta is good for soups, side dishes and stews. As the main ingredient, prepare cutlets, chops, meatballs, chicken, fish steak, mushrooms, legumes. Lunch will be hearty and healthy due to the balance of substances, trace elements and calories.

To prepare orzo pasta as a separate dish, boil them until tender. While the pasta is cooking, prepare the rest of the ingredients. For example, fried vegetables with sauce, stew. Then mix pasta and other ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil.

At the end, add sauce, spices, herbs or cheese. The taste is well emphasized by tomato paste, pesto, hot chili, sweet paprika, curry, fresh basil, green onions, oregano, parmesan, olive oil.

Storage

Store the product separately from strong-smelling products, as the product quickly absorbs odors. Keep the packaging out of direct sunlight. The optimum humidity level in the room is 70%.
