How to grow turmeric

Turmeric grows at the foot of the Himalayas, in Sri Lanka, Vietnam and other countries of South Asia with a subtropical climate, it is in it that she feels great. Nevertheless, even where there is no or very little turmeric, it is still loved as a native.

Turmeric prefers moist air, so in the summer the plant must be sprayed, and watered as the earth dries. Closer to autumn, watering should be reduced, and completely stopped in winter, since a dry period should begin for the roots. As a fertilizer, the same ones as for indoor plants are quite suitable.

Before planting, the tuber of the plant should be dipped for half an hour in a weak solution of potassium permanganate to protect it from diseases and pests, and then planted in a pot with prepared soil to a depth of no more than 2 centimeters, seedlings will appear in a week.
