Comfortable leather boots are the perfect choice for winter - that's how your feet can stay warm and dry!

While leather footwear can be quite long-lasting, it's only when you take good care of it - just like with any natural material.

Here are a few tips that can make it easier for you.

Wipe Off Dirt

After walking in the snow or mud, use a damp cloth to wipe off any dirt or salt on your boots.

This helps prevent damage to the leather.

Let Them Dry Naturally

If your boots get wet, don't use direct heat like a hairdryer or radiator to dry them. Let them air dry naturally.

Stuff them with newspaper to help absorb moisture.

Condition the Leather

Every few weeks, apply a leather conditioner or cream. This keeps the leather soft and prevents it from cracking.

Follow the product instructions for best results.

Protect from Water

Use a water repellent or waterproof spray designed for leather. Apply it before wearing your boots in snowy or wet conditions.

This helps keep your feet dry and protects the leather.

Clean Stains Gently

If you get a stain on your boots, clean it gently with a damp cloth or sponge.

Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the leather.

Rotate Your Boots

If you have more than one pair of winter boots, rotate them.

This gives each pair time to air out and keeps them in better condition.

Store Them Right

When not in use, store your boots in a cool, dry place.

Avoid squashing them or leaving them in direct sunlight, as this can affect the leather.

Fix Scuffs

If you get scuffs on your boots, try using a leather cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and water to gently clean the scuffed area.

Follow up with leather conditioner.
