Why is house dust dangerous
Dust consists of solid and very small particles of organic and mineral origin. It may also contain mites.
Excessive contact of the skin and mucous membranes with dust can lead to difficulty breathing and provoke the occurrence and exacerbation of allergies.
What in the house can cause allergies
The cause of an allergic reaction can be mold spores, cockroach particles, library dust (particles of pulp from books), animal hair and dander, bird feathers, human epidermis and much more.
Nevertheless, the main allergen that causes house dust allergies is dust mites.
How to reduce the number of allergens in the home
Prevention of allergies to household allergens:
- Do not allow the humidity in the apartment to rise above 50% - this creates conditions for the reproduction of mites.
- Do not keep carpets or rugs in your apartment.
- Do not keep upholstered furniture upholstered in fabric in your apartment.
- The rooms should not have massive curtains made of fleecy fabrics.
