You can extend the life of your socks with proper storage and care.

How to store socks

The pull-out drawer is simply the best storage solution for socks. They can be kept here both in rolls and in stacks. If the box is quite large, and you have a lot of different socks, then it is best to buy a divider.

We roll socks and tights with a roll along the length and put them in a box, container or organizer with cells. A small life hack from my colleague: she puts the nylon tights rolled into a roll into a nylon sock, and then into the organizer. So the rolls do not unwind and the cell looks neat.

How to wash socks

Socks should be washed after each use. After drying, cotton products are recommended to be ironed to give smoothness, elasticity to the fibers and, additionally, to disinfect the material by heat treatment.

Divide socks according to color. Black and white items are washed separately, woolen items, as well as children's socks, cannot be placed in the same drum with the rest. Before loading,

they turn inside out and shake out the dirt. In order not to lose steam, put them in machine wash bags or fasten them with clips.

To remove the smell of socks, just soak them in warm water with baking soda overnight, and then wash them as usual. You can enhance the effect by adding lemon juice or half a lemon to the water. If waiting all night is too long, just wet your socks, rub baking soda on them, and squeeze lemon juice onto the surface.
