The root system is weak, so it is better to choose shallow and wide pots.

It is not picky about the substrate; store-bought soil for palm trees or other decorative foliage plants is suitable.

Good soil aeration is needed, so drainage is placed at the bottom of the pot.

How to pinch plectranthus correctly

If you get a plectranthus bush with straight stems, then you definitely need to pinch them if the stems are short, or trim them if the stems are 20 cm or more high.

Usually the stems are shortened by a third or a quarter of their length.

What does Plectranthus like

The plant loves frequent and abundant soil moisture.

When organizing watering, you need to ensure that the surface of the earthen mixture in the pot does not dry out more than 10-20 millimeters.

It is necessary to remember that plectranthus can be harmed not only by drying out the substrate, but also by constant stagnation of moisture in the root system.

The entire period of active plant growth should be accompanied by abundant watering.

You should only use soft water, so at a minimum, let it sit before using.

The top soil layer should dry out between waterings.

In winter, when the temperature drops, watering is reduced.

Previously, we talked about unusual indoor plants.
