When feeding your garden plants, you don't have to stick to usual options - there are plenty of unusual methods that can help!

Plants can get their nutrients from some regular things as well, not just store-bought fertilizers.

Let's look closely at what you can use to help your plants thrive.

Eggshell Crush

Save your eggshells after cooking eggs. Crush them into small pieces and sprinkle them around your plants.

Eggshells provide calcium, which is good for plant growth and can help prevent some pests.

Banana Peel Boost

Don't throw away banana peels. Cut them into small bits and bury them near your plants.

Banana peels are rich in nutrients like potassium and can be a natural fertilizer.

Fish Tank Water

If you have a fish tank, when you change the water, don't toss it out. Use it to water your plants.

The water is full of nutrients from the fish waste that can be beneficial for your plants.

Tea Time

After making a cup of tea, let the tea bag cool down and then bury it in the soil near your plants.

Tea leaves break down and release nutrients into the soil.

Milk Magic

Mix a small amount of milk with water (about 1 part milk to 4 parts water) and use it to water your plants.

The calcium in milk can help prevent some fungal diseases in plants.

Molasses Marvel

Dilute a bit of molasses in water and use it as a plant food.

The sugars in molasses can feed beneficial microbes in the soil, which, in turn, benefit your plants.

Crushed Aspirin

Crush an aspirin tablet and dissolve it in water. Then, use this water to water your plants.

Aspirin can help boost a plant's immune system and protect it from diseases.

Cooked Rice Remedy

If you have leftover cooked rice, let it cool and then bury it in the soil.

As the rice decomposes, it releases nutrients that can nourish your plants.
