Dog owners know that sometimes their pets try to eat everything they see, so they have to be careful with that habit.

Meanwhile, not everything except for special dog food is bad for your pet - some foods can actually be pretty beneficial for their health.

Here are a few examples you should know about.

Pumpkin

It's not just for Halloween! Pumpkin is a healthy food for dogs.

It's low in calories and high in fiber, which can aid digestion.

You can give your dog plain, cooked pumpkin in small amounts.

Blueberries

These little berries are packed with antioxidants.

They can help boost your dog's immune system and promote overall health.

Give them to your dog as a tasty treat, but remember to remove any stems or leaves.

Coconut

Coconut can provide your dog with healthy fats. It's also rich in vitamins and minerals.

You can give your dog small amounts of coconut oil or coconut meat as an occasional treat.

Sweet potatoes

These orange veggies are a great source of fiber and vitamins.

They can be cooked and served as a healthy snack for your dog.

Just make sure they are cooked thoroughly and don't add any seasoning.

Salmon

This fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for your dog's skin and coat health.

Cooked salmon without any seasoning can be a nutritious addition to your dog's diet.

Make sure to remove any bones.

Greek yogurt

Plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt can be a healthy treat for your dog.

It contains probiotics that can promote good gut health.

Just make sure your dog isn't lactose intolerant before giving them yogurt.

Carrots

Crunchy and low in calories, carrots make a great snack for dogs.

They are packed with vitamins and can be beneficial for your dog's dental health.

You can give them raw carrots or cook them lightly.

Green beans

These veggies are a good source of fiber and can be a healthy addition to your dog's diet.

They are low in calories and can help your dog feel full.

Cooked green beans without any seasoning are safe for dogs.
