Most fish have a streamlined body shape and are good swimmers.

The body consists of a head, torso and tail. In bony fishes, the head is closed on the sides by gill covers, which protect the gills and ensure the movement of water in the gill cavity.

The body is covered with skin with scales.

Many Pisces are creative, at least as a hobby.

Oxytocin was found to be necessary for zebrafish to show empathy in stressful situations, according to a study published in the journal Science.

How a fish sleeps

Each type of fish uses its own sleeping position.

Those species that have an air bladder are able to sleep as if hanging in the water.

At the same time, subspecies of cartilaginous fish sleep on the bottom of the aquarium sideways or on their abdomen; these fish include catfish and bots.

It should also be taken into account that there are crepuscular and light-loving fish.

How does a fish smell

In fact, fish have olfactory organs.

Their nostrils are located on the head, but are bags through which water flows.

Due to the movement of cilia in these bags, water enters through one hole and leaves through another.

Inside these cavities are lined with olfactory epithelial cells.
